Pond Market Spring Start-Up Guide for Ponds 



Are your pond and fish ready?  It's been a long winter, and spring is finally here.  Here is a Spring Start-Up List for you to help you get your Pond in shape for many pleasurable days and nights ahead.

  1. Remove Winter Cover or Net.
  2. Skim off Leaves and any other Debris.
  3. Test pH and Adjust as Necessary.
  4. Apply Sludge Eating Bacteria.
  5. Clean/Replace Filter Media.
  6. Test Salinity - Add Salt if Necessary.
  7. Visually Inspect Fish for Irregularities.
  8. Replace all UV Bulbs.
  9. Relocate, Re-pot, and Fertilize Plants.
  10. Start Feeding Cool Weather Food at 50 Degrees F Water Temperature.
  11. Add Bacteria.
